Vessel Portrait by LB-Lee Vessel Portrait by LB-Lee
I was helping out a daughter of a neighbor who's applying to a performing arts middle school, since apparently now I'm respectable enough to be considered a useful impromptu art teacher!  So the kid didn't feel like I was hovering or just telling her what to do, I decided to do my own version of her assignment: a self-portrait.

This is entirely freehanded with my sketch pen.  No pencils or digital manip; what you see is what you get.

what you see is what you get. content-based pun unintended, assuredly ;)

What's that other term from the early days of computer printers/WYSIWYG html-facilitating web-design -- "What you see is nowhere near what you get"?

I'm oblivious to a lotta stuff, but the "not close to Rogan's appearance" comes out more dramatically when I see your drawings of both.

I hope I've expressed myself okay in this without accidentally being boorish! & congrats on art-teacher-goto-status!

But of course!  I would never pun intentionally, sir, not EVER.

And yeah, the vessel looks nothing like me.  It's always this weird balancing act of trying to figure out whether to portray us as how we appear to others, or how we view ourselves.  It's always a bit of a headache.
