So, I decided to write a Christmas story involving giant flesh-eating larvae. And then I decided to sketch these maggots, you know, just for practice. Then I decided, because I'm me, that I should doodle a maggot wearing a seasonally appropriate hat, for the story.

And because my friends are my friends, they told me that this was a brilliant idea, and I should upload it right away.

This is only more proof that when it comes to friends, I am RICH BEYOND COMPARE.

Just a quick slapdash job in pencil and on GIMP. Will probably move this to scraps in a bit.

In fact some of us independently suggested putting a hat on the maggot before we even knew you were planning on it. Great minds and all that.

Obviously we are a cabal of geniuses! And yeah, I was rather amused how quickly my ref sketches went from "hey look, it's a larvae sitting there," to "OMG IT IS SO CUTE COME HERE WIDDLE MAGGOT!"
